Stainless Cooler and Cupboard Latches

I broke the latch the closes the cooler in the cockpit over the weekend (It got a lot of use while I was on vacation last week ). I was looking for a replacement and I found these. BTW the cooler latch is the same as the latches on the cupboards in the cabin.

They have the white ones that directly replace what came on the boat, but I thought these stainless ones would be cool. What do you guys think?

Go stainless!!! If the cost is within reason. It might be cheaper to buy 10 white plastic latches for less than what 1 stainless might cost... I still love the paint job on your boat.... ever get over 70mph with it? I know you posted just under, but mentioned changing props.

I really like the SS ones. I will invest in a couple. Please let us know if you find a distributor.

I ended up ording 1 white latch for now from the Reading, PA store. The guy wasn't 100% sure if this was the right size and I wanted to have it for the weekend. The 1 white latch was about $12. I may replace them with stainless over the winter.

These are the suppliers that have the stainless in stock. You can find them by clicking Configure this product (and configuring it), View Part Numbers, then Product availability.

The latch came in today, it fit perfectly. Here are the part numbers:

White (original factory)
M1-61-1

Stainless
M1-61-8

I may order the stainless over the winter. If anyone else orders the stainless sooner, please let me know what you think.
