Re: Seetek's /45 Sonic
Sonics 45 weighed in at 12900 and hit 98 miles per hour. The 820's had been turned up a bit and making about a 1000hp. The boat would have broke a 100 but I am pretty sure it was the drive set up that slowed it. Arnesons would have been a better choice. I have researched the seateks for a boat I am building and would still prefer them to any diesel or gas engine. It makes the best hp per pound of any of the diesels. Basic rebuild is needed like a high hp gas engine but only burns half the fuel at WOT. Talk to Super Termoli about them I may still have an email from him regarding costs.

Re: Seetek's /45 Sonic
Thanks Viper 7, I had a 2000 42 Sonic, great boat, my ex-partner still has it. I presently have a 04 Nortech 4300, and love it. Want to do a 05 4300 or a modified deck version of a 42 Outerlimits. Took a ride in a 42 OL with Mike at Ft.Laud show and was extremely impressed, just like always, trying to come up with more coin. Have a good holiday guys, Jeff

Wo wo wo , there 43 Thunder ! I do not know who you are ,maybe ID yourself?! I have never once had that statement pass my lips.I may have said that they were trying to do something that was different, but never reffered to it as "a science project that got an f".
