Madcow......have not seen many trip 42's. Nice.... what year is she ? Where did you loose space compared to a twin 42, to get the trips, if any, if you know ? Cockpit or the cabin/salon area. I would guess that they would have moved the cockpit forward maybe, thus loosing some salon space ? I know in a 45 you dont loose anything, infact, I think the 45 cockpit is bigger than a 42 ? Even with the 3rd engine in the 45, the cockpit is still a little larger than a 42.
How bout some specs on the engines and speed your getting with the trips. Have any idea on the weight ? Standard 42 is supposed to be 10000, a 45 12500.
Thanks for the pics guys......all real nice rides !

Actualy the middle engine is under the back seat so I lose no room, and the suprising part is it is pretty easy to work on all the engines. The hardest job is a starter on the right motor. I had to change one in the Bahamas last year (had to heve one flown over from Miami) As for speed it goes around 75. The boat is a 94 and in 96 Sonic rased the X about an inch and a half so the newer ones are faster. I was thinking about puting shorties on it but I might just buy a newer 42 next year, and I'm not sure I want to put the money in this one.
