Thumbs up Re: 38 sonic ?

hi mike
how are you, seems your happy with the newboat.did you bring it up north yet?iv'e been in touch with phil at the stuart plant the boat is due out of the mold in the next week or so.there was a back order of the baltik which i did check with baltik factory and they did state there is a long lead time all due to the use in the military.i get all the questions answered by phil and also joe.i miss brian but i know he will be back and have been in touch with him.rumors in every company yes sonic sticks out a littlle more due to the industry and changes.i am sure there is more going on then we know.i've called jack and emailed him a few times and only spoke with him once at the begining but after that he has not returned my phone calls.or emails since the first one.lisa and i will be down at the miami 19-24 we will go to the show and then to sonic sometime that week hope to see the boat in prep.njsonic seem pretty happy with his new 38'
take care paul

Well I"m happy with the boat wasn't happy with sonic. Had my boat out for 2 hours and swallowed a vavle in one of the motors!!!!!!!! Asked Richard if they could help me out some but he said that there was nothing that they could do. Had Mindy at Dollar rebuild the motor, cost me $6300. Oh well live and learn. We are going down to Ft Lauderdale on the 17 coming home on the 21. Let me know if you want me to tow your boat down. To.26sonic, I loved my 31,I only upgraded because i started to do alot more poker-runs and i felt like i needed the extra couple of feet. I had a pair of 502 and it did about 74 on the gps with a couple of people on the boat. But sometimes i still wish i had that boat!!!

Oh yah the boat is a 1998 and its at sonic right now!

Default 35 versus 38

I was wondering, what are the major differences between the 35 and the 38. What is the cabin height, what are the speeds with twin HP500s EFI. I was also wondering what the weights are, and which boat is better in terms of fuel economy and rough stuff. Any info would be great, thanks

Mmaverick,
Did they mention why it swallowed a valve? It upsets me to hear that happened. Check your email.

Both have the same 6' tall cabin. The 38 has a much larger cockpit and engine bay. 358 runs just shy of 80 w/500's, The 38 mid to upper 70's. Fuel economy sucks no matter what in this size range, and the bigger boat will always be better in the rough.
