So, between 1am this morning and 5pm this evening it has risen 1.2 feet. The flood gates are still closed as far as I can tell. They said they will open them when it goes over the spillway and have warned everyone downstream to get any equipment or livestock out of the area.

Thankfully, our boat is in dry storage on ground high enough that if it floods there, there will be much bigger problems to be concerned with. Looks like this year is going to be a "wash" for us boating ... LITERALLY!!!!!!!

Probably going up to take a look at things tomorrow just to make sure we don't need to do something with the boat. I'll take some pictures if we do.

If were lucky we may be able to boat on Labor Day

Pretty good, but not so good article by the Dallas Morning News.

sad to hear...

A Plano father and son were killed July 7 when they tried to jump from a cliff into the lake's swollen waters.

Yes that is pretty sad. They planned it out all week. I think they had a place up there on the water. Their family went to great links to try and cover up what really happend.........I'd probobly do the same
