Still Raining!!!!
So I was going to just make it an easy trip this year for the 3 and 4 to my home lake, lake lewisville or lake dallas. but it is not supposed to quit raining until the end of the week. what are everyone else's plans this year? if there is any....

Even if it stopped raining today you still couldn't boat on Lewisville - its too flooded. I think there are some other lakes that are not so bad. If I was you I would try to go to Lake Quickita in Arkansas. Its about the same size as Texoma and I don't think they are having flood problems.

Where at? I'm looking for something to do. Had plans for a little party at our lakehouse, but you have to have four-wheel drive and BIG BALLS to even attempt to get to it and the lake is all the way up to our driveway. So at this point I'm exploring other options. I may be interested in buying you out of your beach rental if you really don't want to go and don't want to just take your losses.

Lake Murray is great. More of a family type lake--not huge but big enough. We boated there for about 8-9 years. Just called a few minutes ago and was told the lake was full but no trash floating around in the lake. I'm sure they will be busy this week with all the other lakes closed. Lots of camp sites around the lake but probably are spoken for at this late date. Good luck--

Fireworks are scheduled the 4th off a barge in front of the boat club at Eagle Mtn. Kellys cove sports bar is open on the lake. Weve got our fingers crossed for a dry evening.

I'm thinking I may go to Broken Bow lake. Its supposed to be a pretty lake and a little more remote/quite. Plus they also have some pretty good canoe/float trips. Casino's aren't too far away either. It be my first 4th of July weekend away from Texoma since 1996
