What can you tell me about the area? I'm going next week to check things out.

I think Tennessee is a great state and have thought of moving there myself. I trailered a boat from Chatanooga. Lots of valleys and bluffs and rivers in between. The lake I was on had a 45mph speed limit, but I didn't care - it was a test drive. The people there are some of the utmost friendly people I have ever met. The boating is second to none. You can drive to the gulf of mexico or the atlantic, freshwater or saltwater. A reasonable cost of living.

If I was going to go somewhere - thats were it would be.

There is plenty going on in So Cal and Vegas. That's kind of what I'm trying to get away from!

What makes nashville better?

Not a big club and party guy (rather do that on the lake). Looking for a small town feel but still with some employment or business opportunities.

Both cities have lots of water nearby (actually IN town). Economy in both is good, but have to give a nod to NashVegas for economy/lifestyle.
If we can help you, let us know.
Regards,
Steve

I would agree that the people from both areas are as nice and genuine as you'll find anywhere. I went to college with people from both Knoxville and Nashville and everyone was great. I wouldn't think finding good employment opportunities would be difficult in either area. Good luck!
