Thanks!!

they keep asking the same thing in different ways..

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
-Statewide regulations that lower noise levels on the lake by requiring mufflers on motor boats

-A statewide speed limit on public lakes in Texas

I got my survey in the mail. As I started taking survey it did not take long to see where they were headed with the questions. I guess they got my name & address from the marina.

Seems like a one-sided survey...to get the results they want.

they are going after speed, noise including music,
party spots,
size of boats, they specifically mention wake and ski boats,
thats a whole lot more than just go-fast boats..
you have to read the whole thing to realize how much
they are lumping together..
example:
__________________________________________
Please tell us the extent to which you support or oppose with the following statements concerning boating regulations

-Statewide regulations that lower noise levels on the lake by requiring mufflers on motor boats

-Design zoning and restricting areas for specific use.

-Design zoning and restricting areas for specific uses on specific days throughout the year such as public holiday weekends

-A statewide speed limit on public lakes in Texas

-Speed limits in specific “use zones”

-Uniform regulations that apply to the entire lake and not exclusively to areas of the lake

-Uniform regulations that apply to all public waters in Texas and not exclusively to specific lakes or water bodies

-Prohibit fat sacks, plows and other wake generating devices

And some others:

-Do you feel that the wakes generated by motorized vessels are problematic
___________________________________
They dont mention "speed"boats but MOTORIZED boats.
Thats everybody my freind..

going back to the infamous Lake Martin, they restricted speed AND size and TYPE of boats.
Thats why you cant give any freedom up because you will lose them ALL.

Alabama HB 756:
- effects three lakes: Lake Harris (Lake Wedowee), Lake Martin and Weiss Lake.
- restricts the use of boats bigger than 26' 11” and capable of 60 mph
- prohibits the use of houseboats,
- does not apply to sailboats
