We have a couple a year. To do our big Topps PR you have to be a member. I don't know if they will have the Texas Shootout again due to bad weather in the spring and scheduling problems. We have a couple of local smaller PR's 35-70 boats in the early and late summer. CLPBS and The Boat club are 2 websites to watch. Both have fun local PR's.
Lake Travis Powerboat club has several from spring thru summer. They are a blast. The water levels in the lake have been extremely low this year, so they have to see what happens next year. Check out their website.

They are set up like a non-profit business. They have insurance for the executive board members ect. Its not hard to become a member, there are just a few requirments. Boats safety course, 24 foot or bigger and run 55MPH in offshore conditions, and minium of 300K liabilty coverage on your rig.
Its not about the money.
