I'm pretty excited. a group of 34 of us are heading out Thurs morning. I'm sure we will be hitting all of the hot spots. You guy hit us up if you know of something in particular going on or would just like to change. Jay 2314-535-4556

Call Highland Lakes Marina and talk to Carrie or Frank. They have a good ramp right next door to Volente and usually no line. Expect to pay $20 launch fee and parking.

Will do. What's the story with gas stations on the lake? are there some close to Driftwood/Volente? and that have Super 93 octane?

Plenty of gas nearby, can't say it's 93 or not though

2 options for 93, one is Lakeway, few weeks ago it was $5.25, other choice is Briar Ciff Briar Cliff is usually cheaper but last time the water got this low they stopped selling 93 if I am not mistaken. I would call them before you drive all the way up there.

One place to stop at is as you leave your area and get on main lake turn left and then left into the next big cove. Go back until it opens up in back left. You will see a sign about Zip Lake Travis. You can anchor out there and watch groups doing zip lines.

I will be there with my son and grandson. If you see me out look me up.

PM me and I will give you my cell

I agree with this one, that's where I'm at.

This is the one weekend I'm going to be on vacation this summer or I'd be there!

I'm actually really loving the lake without all the traffic, it's pretty great.

Well guys, we had a blast down there. lake was low but it's such a deep lake. depth gauge read avg of 50'-60' low. I forgot how blue and clean the water is! such a nice change up! No drama or issue the whole trip! good times. Had a blast at Charlies and almost met up with Frank from on here but his phone went dead. next time.
