Default Boat Shop Near Austin/Lake Travis

I have a neighbor that has a 2006 21 ft Supra with an Indmar SBC that blew his motor up this weekend. He is looking for a shop that will replace the motor with preferably a new motor that will stand behind it and warranty the motor and labor but also hopefully be less expensive than the typical dealership. He does not do any of his own mechanical work. The really sad part is he just purchased this boat 1 month ago. Anyway if anyone has any good recommendations let me know. TIA

Default Full Throttle Marine

I'd go to Bob at FTM in Spicewood!

FTM in Spicewood huh? Might have him check that out. We are in Briarcliff so Spicewood would be right down the road. Not sure I have ever seen that shop before, is it on the highway or off the road a bit? I was also going to suggest he check out Five Star Marine, I do my own work so I have no service experience with them but they did broker the deal on my boat when I bought it 8-9 years ago and they did all the work on it for the prior owner and I have not found anything really screwed up.

Bob Loyd at Full Throttle Marine will take care of you. Another to check out is Mobile Mercman, Jim Speros. 512.748.1749. Tell him Dave with the Nordic recco'd.
