Hey not really... I heard they are supposed to be starting soon. The wet slips were cleared out last time I drove by. Does not look like they will be open in March though

I JusT got Back From Key West, Thru St .Pete, Stayed A Couple Days At My Condo.
Went To The Sandbar, Still No Construction, But Asked People I Saw There, They Said It Was Bought By "gasby's" I Asked About Caddy's He Said No, Can Someone Else Confirm ?

I don't know about that. I am just a friend of the family and passin the info that i'm getting. He said as of this second they are still trying to get permits and hoping to be open for spring break we'll see Maybe he's just a investor

Which end of Tierra Verde is this location? Where the marina and closed hotel area at the north end of the island- maybe they were waiting on the St. Petersburg annexation to get completed.

This part could take a very long time. I wouldn't get too happy just yet. Even if they got permits next week, no way could they build this in 4 months.

Sounds like a very cool project, tho.

I hope it goes through, I would love another place to hang out. I know up here in Richmond, VA. we have had several projects have the financing yanked out from under them by the banks. They may be having the same troubles & this has nothing to do w/ an individuals credit. We have cleared & started grading two projects & were told to stop. Some projects never got started & we heard the same thing about permits, right-of-ways, etc while they tried to get financing straight, & finally the owners had to give up because of this.

I think you're thinking of the Mirage not sure what is going on with that place. WET is being built on the most northern tip of the island

I was told part of the strip mall and the sandbar were being torn down in dec. I guess they are keeping the high and dry but remodeling it.
