I just took the OUPV (six pack) Captains Course by Adams Marine Seminars. It is a great course, and I learned a lot. I highly recommend them.

Mike's course is the one I would recomend as well.I took his course back in the 80s

The course is 54 and 1/2 hours. It is two weeks. Nine week day
nights (1800 to 2200) and a weekend (0800 to 1700). The test is on Friday 0900 to 1400 (not really that long). There was a side course in first aid and CPR.
