Mufflers (or lack of) are NOT an issue in northern Palm Beach county. There are two waterfront hotels with dockage in the area ( www.sailfishmarina.com and the http://jupiterwaterfrontinn.com/ )

Thanks for the info., Do many boats watch the races from the water in that area? I know the gulfstream is close to shore up there.

Not sure, last offshore race here was in the 90's! Water can be deep which makes anchoring tough especially in choppy conditions. They are going to race by the Juno pier so the middle of the race course will be in probably 35+ ft of water.

you'll have some boats out there, but to be honest with you, I prefer from the beach, makes getting back to the pist/partying a lot quicker.

I apreciate the info., hauling a friends boat down for some upgrades over the winter but it does'nt sound like it's worth splashing while we're there. I'll post when the date gets closer and maybe catch up w/ some of you guys while we're in town.
