If I.C.U. (Mike) is out in the Gulf working and isn't around and you need some pointers give me a shout, we'll be in the Cape during the Winter months from first week of October to mid April.

Acreage is a want, but if the right deal came up on waterfront with say.....3/4 of an acre I could probably make it work. Just need room for a decent sized workshop and toy storage ya know?

Bonita Springs has large lots that are 10 minutes from 2 boat ramps that is only a 10 minute idle out to the Gulf.

Also you are only a nice 20 minute beach drive North to all the wacky bars in Fort Myers or a 20 minute drive South to the Swanky Restaurants and Bars on 5th Ave in Naples.

3/4 of an acre waterfront will be tough to find on a budget.........a town/city that will allow you to build a workshop/toy storage on the waterfront is going to be impossible. Steel sheds stuffed in the side yard are going to be a no no in most communities (won't meet wind codes or get "architectural review board" approval).

i know it is everyones dream to move to Florida and live on the water with their boat parked out in front on a lift but did that in the Cape years ago.

To far of a hike to the Gulf and unless you have a covered lift your boat is being pummeled by the rain and sun.

I will take a large lot with a big building near the water over living on the water anyday.

I love living on the water with the lift. Many of us do. Covers prevent the pummeling. Also we run downtown ft Myers and to the many restaurants along the river.
