Not 30' but running a 28 Skater 300 promax's 20" mids with Sportmaster lowers, 1.62 gears turning 15x34. The prop shaft is 1 3/4" above the bottom of the lowest part of the boat.

They are the older promax's. So far the only lower unit problems have been prop shaft seals. I check the lowers just about everytime I take the boat out so no major issues yet. How much water pressure are you running?

14.5x30s turning out. Sportmaster lowers and 1.87:1 gears. 2.5efi 260s and 96.2gps @ 7800 last weekend. I am still learning to drive her, so that 3.8 mpg is a reasonable goal.

Has anyone tried spinning their props IN on a 30? I thought of doing it, but it isn't how I would run the boat from day to day.

Haven't measured the x-dim, yet, but the boat was dialed in at Lake-X. I doubt I can teach those guys anything about setup.

DANG! What does that boat weigh? You are turning some big wheels and some big gears.

the 28 skater is probably 1200-1500 lbs lighter than your 30..... they list the the boat at 2100 (unrigged?) with a 3500 max weight and the 30 spectre OB is listed at 4500...

One more thing, you are turning yours high 7k to 8k range. My rev limiters are at 6300. But yeah, like Sean H said, there is a big difference in weight in these 2 boats. You should be quite happy with high 90's, probably 100 mph with 260's on a 30 spectre.
