Default 30 Spectre

Looking at selling my Scarab and upgrading to a 30 Spectre with outboards. Can anyone give me some pro or cons with this boat? Seen any good deals out there?

Great boat for the money. Great in big water for it's size and with most high performance outboards they do over 100. Some cons are insurance is sometimes more for cats and it's not as fast as a skater. Some may have a mid range hop but that happens with most all true tunnels.

How about the tanks? Are they like a Skater where they have to be redone for todays gas? Thanks for the info.

No. Tanks are fine. Way different animal than your Scarab.

AWESOME boat, runs good in the chop, well built, fast, great performer, beautiful lines that dont get old, reasonable in price. The only con is that theyre hard to come by.

Are those 250xs on your 30? If so how does it run with them? Thanks

That's pretty good. On paper they seem like great engines and being able to run on regular fuel is a huge plus. I've heard that simon marine can tweak the ECU's a little and get them to make almost 300hp.
