30' Spectre w/300xs's Setup ?

The problem with the 3 blades cleavers props are to hard for the drives, vibration, etc...that set up just work for top end speed.
The new 4 blade bravo style props for outboard cats (Mercury or Hering) are more friendly whit the drives and perform better with a pleasure outboard cat
Look at the races stock class no ones use cleaver style props any more
Also if the 3 blades cleaver are lab finish their broke blades every time for long periods ride, (if dont broke the drives first)

Mercury Racing 2.014 Miami Boat Show: Scott is also showing two additional props set for release in April. The Bravo I OC is yet another application-specific variant of the popular Bravo I propeller. The 300 h.p. rated prop is designed for use on outboard performance catamarans – with the OptiMax 300XS being the target application. The diameter has been cut down to 14.75″ with a pitch range of 32″ to 35″ (even and odd) sizes. A shortened exhaust barrel settles the stern to minimize drag while blade cup has been added to maximize performance with the new diameter. The prop has been tested on 28-foot to 32-foot Skater, Talon, DCB Spectre and Doug Wright hulls. It outperformed three and four blade cleavers in both acceleration and top-end speed. The Bravo I OC will be available in both left-hand and right-hand rotation.

So far I've really liked the blasters, much better holeshot than the labbed bravo's. I've not done a ton of testing of top end but wouldn't be surprised to see no change or even a little better. What I like about them as well is they appear to be more of a surface piercing design than the bravos which should increase they're life.

Sorry should have been more specific, yes the 14.75x32. I've heard some people mention failures on them but my understanding was that was only an issue with the first couple batches and all of those were replaced no problem.

When do you try different props (style, diameter, # blades, etc) Take on consideration the propshaft height and the centerline on the engines, for pleasure we had set up the engines at 52" tie bar center to center and between 1" to 1.5" propshaft height, and the Cat do not perform equal in fresh water than salt water or flat water and rough water...
