Default 288S vs 288SSR LOA Question

The LOA in these two models is different:

S/SS 28'.8"
SSR 31'.7"

That's a pretty big difference. I can't find any hardcore techincal details on the difference, does anyone know what makes up this difference? Is this just swim platform, or does this involve running surface? The lifting strakes look different on the SSR, at least from the PDF on their website, but not sure if that is just the radical paint job.

The 288 is at the top of my list (short list), but I am one year out from purchasing, so I don't want to bother the factory with questions.

Anything would be helpful.

btw, I've attached a pic of her new home (why I have to wait!) when I can afford.

Thx!

I believe the 31'7" is the length on the 32SSR.

I think the 28 SSR is the same hull as the S/SS.

Well, I pulled these numbers from the Sunsation online brochure. I agree, it sounds like the Dominator, and maybe it's a typo. But if you take their online brochure at face-value, the new SSR is longer.

I will call Sunsation after the holidays.

Thx!

Here is the link to Sunsations website. If you launch and scroll down about a half page you can see the specs for the 288 SSR.

Hope the link works!

Thanks!

28 S/SS/SSR is all the same hull with the trim level, paint scheme being the difference. The closed deck/ MCOB are all the same hull but different decks.

Same goes for the 32 S/SS/SSR.

Great! So what accounts for the length difference? Swim Platform alone?

Thx for the input.

That would be a typo on specifications. The LOA of the 28’ers is 28’8” and the 32’ers is 31’7”.

As Jupiter mentioned, the S/SS/SSR are trim levels. The “S” is the Performance Edition which is a little lighter and running a different X dimension for more speed. The SSR package is loaded up version. The SS is somewhere in between. No matter what trim level you choose, the factory guys will go out of their way to build exactly what you want.

Go to the 32 SSR spec page - 31' 7". My guess is someone cut and pasted the new page and forgot to change the loa.
