There's people that use there stuff and there's people that talk about using there stuff (or there's people that talk about the days when they still HAD their stuff). Blown motor here, and a Hydroplane ditch ride in a z06 are bound to happen at some point.
I ever tell you the story about selling 2 boats in a row without advertising them while others were begging to sell theirs? Cough cough silver xrt.

I'll agree with that. Although it did always seem to leave an unusually large amount of mystery fasteners on the cockpit floor, bilge, and cabin after spirited budlight fueled wide open runs.

F4 vs Check 43
Maybe I'm beating a dead horse and this thread is dead as to the origional question, but now I have more info, so I'll try to renew it.
The new Checkmate 43 weighs 10,400lbs dry and ran 93gps with those 700's. List/asking price for it is $449,000. I've read/heard it handled well, but at this point I'm not sure how many people have actually driven or gone for a ride in it to confirm it is anywhere near as good or better then the rest of the 40-43 boats it's up against.
If I have good info, an F4 also weighs ~10,000lbs, runs a little under 100 with 700's, is listed at $600,000 for a new one and is a pretty good value when compared to the other brands.
Does anyone know if the market has turned around, are any manufactures selling new 40-43' v hulls and what they are selling for?
