Is anyone else considering upgrading to the 38 when they get it built?

Nah... I'm over that stuff..........remember I am the one that fell out !! wow that hurt ..... so nothing too radical...

Another reason I am over the big power , etc.... Is that I see all tehse guys with the big power, etc and I see how dissapointed they are because they always fork'in break or they always have to do really expensive maintence, etc....

Not too mention the headache everyone will have next year with Insurance Coverage..... NOTE: The Insurance Industry is really gonna come down hard on High Performance... Most will only be insuring Merc Packages & other under 70 mph...., etc....

So in the end, I think I will have a Merc HP 575 jobber or something.... High performing yet very reliable !!! That where my head is at............ If that's not enough, I can always tweak that a weeeee bit.....

Be safe out there !

If I do it, I will order with base motors and look for a couple of 500hp's Bulldogs to put in it. That way I can add a couple of blowers down the road. I'm still a carb motor fan. Also have to have a cool Mitcher T paint job too.

Yeah, that's the great thing about insurance coverage... I've only got a set of black motors, the little one's (454's) none the less!

I still don't see the attraction of the big money motors. They will need to be worked on, and if you aren't prepared to DIY... $$$,$$$!!!

So my philosophy, if you are willing to turn your own wrench, build up your own set of motors. Much less expensive that way and you will always know exactly what is where. Otherwise, stick with blue motors. I've been very impressed with the new 575's. I have to believe that Mercury really underrated that package. Probably like you said, for insurance reasons. I would tend to think that it would be very easy to get 600 hp out of those motors... if they aren't already making it.

Bayley,

Tell your Dad he made it in our new brochure, its a picture of him sitting the McLeod Bolsters (in there display) talking with Brandy. THe new brochure has a page dedicated to the rally. The new brochure also has all updated information and pictures on all models plus the new Mitcher T graphics for 2003.

Always the ladies man, what a role model.

I told the old man about this, he frequently reads this board, but rarely posts. Where can we get a few of these brochures?

Bayley,

The new brochures will be in mid-week next week, I'm sure if you visited our web-site and filled out the request information page you would end up with one - being I get all the emails from there.
