What is up with trying to get information from the Sunsation Website? I like to keep up on the latest from boat builders and know that Sunsation is working on a 38 footer. It appears they are getting very close to release and I wanted to get some info on the boat (more than is available on the website). So I filled out all the information on the request for information section of the website and submitted it. All I wanted was information. I even indicated I was not interested in purchasing a boat. I also indicated I owned a 2002 Active Thunder AVH.
This evening my wife got a call from Gran Sprot Center (GSC). A large Baja and Sonic dealer in the Chicago Land area. The individual indicated I had requested information on a Sonic

. What is up with that. I was intersted in Sunsation's 38.
Well, to make the story even better, we had talked with GSC in 2001 about a 386. We got a quote from them (GSC) for a fully loaded Sonic (genset, A/C, etc) with 500 HP's for $258,000. This did not include a trailer. When we indicated this seemed a little high relative to the competition, we were treated like pond skum and totally blown off. Jay was there at the time and obviously does not remember as we later visited him in Florida. Take a look in the classifieds, a very similar boat with 575's, extension boxes on a trailer is for sale for only $179,000. Its the same year boat!!!!!!!!Sorry for the digression, but somethines I like to vent.
Point is I wanted information on the new 38 Sunsation. What I got was a call from a dealer that has price expectations that are unreasonable. On top of that, I requested info on a Sunsation and got a call about a Sonic. If I worked for Sunsation I would be royally pissed with GSC.
I am not going to buy a boat in the near future. I am very happy with my AT. But I think the guys at Sunsation needed to know this. I still want info on the new boat. I do not want a call from a dealer
