Sunsation Visit (hotels?)
Will be traveling to the Sunsation plant at the end of the month for a tour.
Has anyone stayed at a kid-friendly hotel in the area? Denny suggested a Holiday Inn Express in the area, but was wondering if there was any hotels with an indoor water park in the area. Kids will be tagging along for the trip.
I am sure many of you have toured the shop... how long did you spend in the plant?
Denny, looking forward to our visit and discussions!

had a few more questions I would have liked to ask. If you have the time and are considering buying a sunsation, maybe these are some questions that would be important to you and you could ask and share w/ the rest of us.. ??

I would be happy to ask anything to the Sunsation team. Is there anything specific you were looking for? Please send me a PM if you want anything confidential, otherwise I am sure Denny or others could answer your questions here on the board.

Boomer,
The Best Western Concord Inn (586-493-7300) is a very nice place with indoor pool, gym, etc. The rooms are split into living room, bedroom with TV's, Nintento, etc and many folks can't believe a Best Western is this nice. I even take my wife there for weekend get aways because it's such a nice place. Hope this helps
It's also very central to many shopping areas and other items of interest.

Thanks for the offer Boomer, you won't be dissapointed, Their customer serice is outstanding, we left there amazed.
Basically, I would like to know about hardware attachment, in regards to the balsa cored hull. do any through bolts go through the core, like cleats ?, battery boxes, are any screws, screwed directly into the core ? bolsters are most likey through bolted to the cockpit floor, do they go through a core ? If any of them do, what precautions are taken to insure water intrusion will not lead to rot, are backing plates used.
Also, While I was there, I wanted to see how any type of water that might get into the hull, from anchor lockers, waves and such, that got between stringers would drain, or if you take water into the cockpit directly,, whats the path to the bilge. Thanks again Chris..

Thanks Dave for the suggestions.
Chris, I will ask the questions, unless they get answered on the board. Also, I will take a close look at the process while I am at the Sunsation site.
