I know someone has because I remember reading the thread. The thread was on Sunsation's forums. Go there and do a search but I am sure some of them will chime in here too.
How much slip are you getting with the new hull? What prop are you using?

Re: Has ANYONE tried a 5 blade on a stepped 288
Liquid,,, motor is a 496 H.O.
stock 26 B1 @ the rev limiter approx. 5,150 69-71 mph w/ a slip of approx. 17%
stock 28 B1 @ approx 4,900 70 mph w/ a slip of approx. 18 %.
I'm thinking a 5 blade might help the slip a great deal, maybe bring it down 12% range, maybe increasing top end, there is no doubt midrange speed would be greatly increased, currently run approx. 46-47 mph @ 3,500 and 53-54 @ 4,000.

Maybe Dave will chime in here..
I'm going to see if Throttle up will lend me a five blade to try.. i'm thinking a 25 or a labbed 27,,, but I don't think they lend labbed props...
