P Class Update
To All P-Class Racers:
With today’s new high tech hulls, and the increase of availability of reliable higher horse power motors we have looked at increasing the P Class speed brackets across the board. After interviewing numerous members of the P Class it seems like they all agree and support changing the speeds.
For the 2009 season Classes P2 – P5 will be increased by 3 MPH. The new speeds are listed below per class. This change will take effect in SBIP’s first race in Miami, April 17 - 19, 2009. We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to seeing you all in Miami.
P5 – 75
P4 – 85
P3 – 95
P2 – 105
P1 – 117
Thank you,

Rick you get the boats and let me know and we'll get some place for them to race. I think if there is a class of boat min. of five boats that SBI would consider it. I would take it to John for you .

Seeing as every other class is in 10MPH increments, I would say 65 sounds good, I would have to add some motor, but if it was a competitive class I dont have a p[roblem doing that, if there were guys with big motors sandbagging, then no way, cuz 65 would be my max speed, and they would be running around at 3/4 throttle. Personally I would like to see it at 60, and allow smaller boats than in the past, but I dont want them to build a class around my boat, but what everyone would want. Nice 24 ya got, I have never seen it around, We should meet up some time. Actually, now that I look closer, thats not Scotty's boat is it??
