i had a great time as well, especially since this was my first live offshore race off of Bermuda soil.. and especially being out on the Pier..never though u could get that close to race with out being in the water..lol this will definately be an annual trip for me..

Julie pretty much said it all. What a great new site.
This town knocked themselves out in getting sponsors, providing every service that was needed and the fans are unbelieveable.
Within walking distance of the dry pits were all the sponsoring restaurants, the cranes and the wet pits.
It was great to see Ritchie Powers at the drivers meeting and meeting with all the teams.
We were constantly signing up volunteer boats......they turned out in droves and loved being involved to the point they were all coming up with new ideas for next year.
Inn at Cocoa Beach provided the race control and scoring location and it is such a neat private hotel on the beach.
One important thing to mention.........
NEXT YEAR THIS RACE WILL BE IN MAY
When the date is announced, be sure to mark your calendar. The planning committee is already hard at work.

Cocoa Beach is a lot of fun. Love Coconuts on the Beach, as well as Lou's Blues down the street in Indialantic. My neighbor has a place right next to the pier there for rentals, and I missed out on it. Maybe next year.
