I was on Z man's boat a few times this summer. Best thing about that boat is it always runs and always gets you home. Plus it does run better than 83-84??

Gary, If my memory serves me correctly.
From reading other posts:
Late 1980s 30' Tempest Hull with some modifications.
Speed Master Out-drive.
BIG Power like 900+ maybe 1000HP...
And it does top out at over 100mph...

Pat you forgot to mention the 5 blade speedy herring prop that cost more than a bravo outdrive. And you have to know someone to get one of these bad boys.

If you want a herring next year you better orderit now. Never delt with them before. I dont think I know enough to even order one. Im sure to get it rite they would have to ask you 50 questions. Every one is for a specific application. Im guessing at bravo prices around 2G and speedys are 5G and hardened killers are 10G and that is each not a pair. MRD has some boats running at 4% slip with them. Yes 4% not 14%. Not every hull will run 4% but it dosnt hurt to ask.The bravo/herrings ive seen have 6 blades and the blades are small. Your best bet would be to talk to SKIP at MRD and have him order it for you.

10K for a prop, thats more than an XR DRIVE, I will have to check into that. Also I wonder how much more top end one would end up with. If I could see say, an honest 4-5 MPH I would say it's worth it, OTHERWISE..........FORGET.
