Default How much did your Y2K Superboat cost?

I see on their website that a basic Y2K with 496HO is $59,500, K-planes, external steering, and 425HP engine bump it another $10k. They state that the "2006 special" is laid up a little different- are all Y2K boats like that or just this lower priced model?

I'm interested in the above, but with a finished cabin (if it doesn't already have it).

How much more is a 525EFI? How much was the trailer? Any hidden costs?

I'd add my own stereo system and GPS to keep costs down.

To be fair, Your best bet is to contact John Coen direct. There are a lot of variables. He is more than fair with his pricing and I think you'll be suprised at how reasonable. This way there isn't any hearsay...He's more than happy to talk boats.

Thanks, I didn't want to bother him until I had some background info. I'm basically trying to figure out if it comes to 70, 80, or 90+K to get out the door on a trailer.

Being an active duty Navy guy, I have to watch that monthly payment- Uncle sam doesn't make us rich. But being single with no kids, I need to get a real boat before I get married...

Y2K is a great boat!!! Look into a local (near you) engine builder. It may be cheaper than Merc. Ship it to SB for installation. Lot of options. Like Ozone said, call John Cohen and discuss what you want.

JC is more than fair with his pricing; like the others told you, give him a call.
He has said many time that he would rather make a reasonable profit building/selling 10 boat per year than try to make big $$ and only sell 2...
I will share this with you: JC quoted to me last year building a basic Y2K rigged with an engine and drive that I provide for about 45K.
If you go with bigger power than the 425HP there are some costly options that do need to be added; ie full hydraulic steering...

Zimm-17, There is no other better boat, better deal.... Superboat is always the hands down winner, as said call JC for pricing as the market can change somewhat with supply and demand. No matter what you will get a GREAT DEAL !!!!! Depending on how fas you want to go the 496 HO ( 425 HP ) is a great way to go ( 6 year warranty available ) on that pkg. and service worldwide with MERC. !!!!! Also there is a new aired out bottom on the Y2K thats looks good for an extra couple MPH's !!!!!!!

They just started rigging my boat at the shop... If you have any questions about the current boats shoot me a PM and I'll answer what I know. For a custom boat you can't beat John's prices...

Zimm
We just started another Y2K. This one is for stock. It can be rigged with anything you want.
As far as finished cabins go. The cabin comes from the factory with a gel coated cabin interior (not molded). You can get cushions for the forward and side bunks. If you look through Oh Zones threads, you'll see pics of his interior.
We also offer a carpeted interior, with a sink and ice box. We can build you anything you want.
