24 Wind Deflector Ideas
Okay guys, finally got the 24 in the water this past weekend and the boat is an absolute blast. Over 65 it starts to get a little windy. I am contemplating installing a couple of wind deflectors but I am not sure how to go about it. The fairing doesn't look like it would be strong enough on the lip on the inside to support anything without cracking, and I don't want to drill into the front of the fairing. I would like something that is easily removable or folds in towards the dash so that it doesn't get in the way of the cover. Any suggestions?

I'm assuming you've seen this thread on the Y2K windscreens?? It should give you some ideas - post a pic of your current setup (close-ups) and maybe we can brainstorm this a bit......

Its Cake To Make One . The Lip Is Alot Stronger Then It Looks. I Used Rivnuts To Hold Mine On And Flip Over When Not In Use So The Cover Still Fits. I Will Try To Take Some Picks Over The Weekend.

Re: 24 Wind Deflector Ideas
Here is kind of what I was thinking about doing that would be pretty clean and would utilize the Finney's Wind deflectors (http://www.finneys.com/ ) and the mounting of a set of taller rails up towards the windscreen. Sorry about the crude photoshop job. I just wasn't sure how strong the lip that comes down on the back side of the fairing would be. Zuper, that sounds like you have exactly what I was thinking.....pictures would be great thanks. So you didn't have to reinforce the fairing with anything from underneath? Anyone else have any other ways that you're using? Krak I did see the thread on the Y2K windscreen and that is what kind got me thinking. I just wasn't sure if the lip on my 24 would be strong enough to mount anything in the same way you guys did on your Y2K's, but it sounds like it might be! Great job on yours. Keep the ideas coming guys.
