There is a 30' at the shop getting big custom power and a Konrad Ace package.
The boat has been sitting for almost a year though...
Come on Rob, ship that engine...

I think the $$ an OEM boat builder pays for a Merc 496HO Bravo X package would be tough for a custom engine builder to beat.
Now for less then the $$ Merc Racing packages cost, you can get similar if not more HP from a custom builder.

Hmmm. 25,000for a merc 525, or 30,000 for a zul 750.
If you live on LI its a no brainer. but an xr its may not hang in there... hence the konrad.

Custom motors ??? Im sure there are loads of motor builders all over the country that are great at there craft, many of who chat at OSO. If you do live in there back yard and they can warranty what they build and the price is right perhaps a smart choice. But in my opinion there is no better choice than MERC RACING. Warranty service world wide !!!!!

My 600 sci warranty ran out last year and MERC RACING still covered some issues well after the warranty. As for stock motors, does anyone think the 850 and the 1075 are stock motors ???
