Boy, you are some busy in Superboat land...
Is this boat sold or for stock?

How far along is the all white one that will get the 525?
I would assume she's next after MGD boat.

Pat,
The white one has the dash rigged, tabs and gimble on. Plus all the trim pumps in. Coen is finishing the MGD build first though.
This next white hull is also sold. It's getting a 496 HO, but he still might go for the 525.

Great news Rick!
I tell you I just read that article in Power Boat again and I must say a 30' Super with a 496HO is one hell of a package...
With gas prices what they are, I paid $2.79 today, that 3+mpg at 60mph really stands out. Hell, I know the 502MPI in my 24' burns more than that...
Honestly, and no offence to my Superboat brothers Gary and Gary, why would you spend an extra 25K to go 6mph faster?
Those Blue engines sure are perty, but...

Gotta agree, though always looking for more speed. Last full tank (we carry ~96 gallons) I ran 262 miles on gps (wasn't empty, but did not fill completely afterwards), smiling all the way....

Yup, that is what I remember...

Lots of 30 Y2Ks with 496HOs that have run top speeds of 72-74mph.
When Tim owned JCjr's old race boat, I don't believe he ever had her crack 80.
OH-Zone's boat 78-79.
FastEddie said his would run over 80mph with the 496cube 525 HP3.

If you think about it the 6mph increase makes perfect sense. +6 mph, +75 PSHP = +1 mph per +12.5 PSHP
