The Yellow Y2K in Florida had a 3 page write up in april's Powerboat !! I'll take pictures of the article or try to scan them.
J C Performance is also in there with his 1100 hp motors in a 40 Skater 150+(also the cover photo) Congrats Jeff !!

Lightspeed did the original wiring, and it was flawless. It was sent from the factory with Merc guages. I even have the pictures to prove it. The owner had the Merc guages replaced in Florida with Faria guages. That wiring had Nothing to do with us. I just wish that was mentioned in the article. There are a few discrepencies in the article, such as them saying the Y2K only has a single step, and that the windscreens are acrylic, when they're fiberglass.
And obviously the test driver didn't trim the drive up for the test. Because they show a top speed of 70 @ 4900rpm and not 74 @ 5300, which it ran when we tested it..
Also, the boat is as "Bare Bones" as your wallet allows. If you want a maxed out offshore cabin, complete with sink, counter and ice box, you got it.
The last Y2K with a maxed out cabin belongs to Don (donY2K) complete with a fully carpeted interior. Reeeeal nice.
I found the pic of the original dash. if you zoom the pic, you can see they are Merc guages. I'll find the wiring too.

No need to Rick, we all know you guys better. The gauge swap is really something that should be retracted in the next issue. Goes to show......how much research do the really do into every boat .
