Hey T.
Your engine is only a camshaft and ecu change away...
Surely a lot less than 5K.

These hulls seem to hit a wall at about 80mph and it takes a lot of power to push them beyond that.
Dave M's boat runs 78mph anyday of the week with a stock prop. If he sent his prop to BBlades for a little love, he'd see 80 no problem.
A 525 is only going to push the boat 82-84mph. Those headers would sure look nice though...
I think anything over 80 in a 24 is just for bragging rights anyway. It's not real "usable" speed. When I hit 78+ it's just for a quick speed check. It's not like I ride around at that speed. I do like to cruise around 55-60 though. I can usually hit 55 at about 3500 rpms. That gives a pretty nice MPG factor.

Yea, I talked to Raylar in Miami about a kit. Tempting since the warranty is up in August. But the motor has been rock solid, not even a misfire and runs a solid 75 any day of the week.

I'm sure the Mag is just fine, but the HO may help in resale... if & when the day comes.
Cruise at 50-55 is where its at.

It would be cool Zup but the classic lines of our boats are cool too...
I'm hoping to see a new hatch without the sun pad and maybe a scoop like the newer Y2Ks...

I hear you bro, there is a lot to be say for stock power.
My engine starts with a flick of the key and idles away from the dock at 600rpm.
Push the throttle and she spins to 4900rpm with a 27p prop.
75mph any day of the week...
