Default 24' Superboat O/B ?

Can twin outboards be installed on a 24' Superboat? What are pros and cons of this?


Also does anyone know anything about this boat? Should this boat be avoided? Or is it good to go.

Wellcome to OSO!! Anyway, the boat seems clean and the owner is on Scream and Fly alot and seems like a good guy. That boat will run through anything you can throw at it.

You wouldn't happen to know his screen name would you? And what would you suggest for power? Twins are probably to much on a 24 footer right.

There is a 24 Pantera with twin 200's in Atlanta for a few $$$ more.

Twin 200's on a 24 have been done but IMO not recommended. Have not heard of any with twin 300'S
Boat accelerates like a rocket.
2 draw backs IMO
1) Tie bars or knees need to be installed or over time transon takes a beating
2) Extra weight from twins makes boat too tail heavy and a hand full to drive for lack of a better term .

They are realy great boats-had 2 myself both outboards would buy another one without a doubt

IMO Single 300 is in the mid 70 range (about same as twin 200'S) much easier to drive and less up keep and fuel.

Superbash ( Gene) is running 78+ with his 24 and a 300 on the back. His boat is on the Superboat website,
