I would love to see other Superboat owners do the crossing also.
Dangit if they could do it in a 21 foot bay boat how about the rest of the SB clan. I say part of the 40th celebration is to have 5 SB owners cross the Atlantic. And it's safer in bigger numbers.
When I was planning to do this, redundancy were in my thoughts: double radios, doubel GPS, double engines.
Take Sean's 30CC for instance. He's half way to getting his boat built not just for speed but also for effeciency in making the crossing. He's got double engines already. Another radio would not cost too much. One nice GPS chartplotter is all he would need.
Now you may ask about the fuel...well he's got plenty of space for a fuel bladder cell. Just look at all the space he's got upfront and the good thing is, when he's done, just remove the fuel cell. Look at the attached pic and tell me he if he doesn't have enough space for fuel?
if a 21 foot bay boat can do it, so can a 30CC with twin 250's !
When Sean gets to Europe lay it up for the winter, then the following year fly back to the 30CC and continue the voyage!

Sean were your ancestors Seafaring people? It's no accident that you love the ocean.
