Need help, trailer bunk width for Y2K
OK folks, I've hung the SB on a lift and trying to set the bunks - can you tell me your best placement for the most support on the trailer bunks? My trailer is actuallly set with two sets, one at 28" center for the front-mid section of the boat and the second set aft for the steps and engine area are set on 50" centers.
The lift I have only has one set of bunks, so where do I set them? Do I need to add another set of bunks to properly support the stepped hull?
Can you post pictures of your lift/trailers for a Y2K?
Thanks in advance - I'll call Coen later if no response here......

what is the boat beside yours, looks to have lots of room and a nice platform?

Plenty of room. That's my neighbors 33' Trojan. I have the Whaler in the forward part of my slip which is 50' x 18' and the lift is designed for 13,000# so the SB looks small in there....the picture is taken from my townhome main patio, we look down onto the boats every morning, life is good, let's go boating!

BTW, Coen nailed it. 43" on center at the rear with bunks set level, then toe the rails/bunks in at the bow area by ~2" sets the boat nicely on the flats along the whole length. Put this info away in your vaults for future reference!

Keith, I have mine set at 30" at the front of lift and 35" at the rear. I have used those measurements for 5 years. I guess what everworks !!!

Cool Gary, thanks for taking the time! Coen noted there are several setups that will work; after spending a bunch of time under the hull in the air, I can see a few ways to support it. I'm going to take another look at your settings and see if that's better. Thanks for doing this!!!!
