Early Y2K
Anyone have any idea how much Hp it would take to move an early build y2k w/#6 drive to 75-80 mph?

A couple of the owners thought about the #6 drive, but to this date none.

There is atleast 1, good friend of mine has it! presently has large blower power,if it does come up available it will be without power, which has me asking these ?'s

Sorry, I stand to be corrected, sure would be nice if your friend chimed in on the Y2K threads. I would like to know how the boat handled with the 6 SM Drive, what power and how fast.

sorry bud, it's a 5, he didn't want to chance the 6's steering went with full system from helm twin ram, handles as though it were on rails, very near 1000 hp 1330 huber, speed(fast) he's kinda busy right now for any bell ringin!

And the answer is?
So now that it's a #5 and Not a # 6 is a 525 still a power requirement to attain 75-80 mph?

Why a 525, the SM 5 is good for 750 plus hp.
