that really sux.....i have seen that happen on stock mercruisers before.....i always locktite those silly studs when i am in there.......

That's a total bummer!
How will the engine run without the blower?
Can you just bolt on an intake and carb to get back out on the water?
I think I remember when you built the engine originally, it didn't have a blower, right?

that blows in a big way. May I suggest the following modification to stop anything like that from ever happening.

Remove the stud and toss it in the garbage. Get a stainless BOLT to replace it with. Bolts with a washer can only ever fall OUT, not in.

Either that or get a Nylock nut for the top of the cleaner instead of a standard but...they dont wiggle them selfs loose

Pulled the innercooler and intake. Pulled the plugs and took a look at the cylinders with a bore scope. All looks good!! Just waiting for the new compressor. That reminds me.....time to make a call!

Hell yea!!! On the 4th I had 6 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog!!! Cruised around all day, watched fireworks at night. End of the day......hose her down and wait for tomorrow!!!
