What is the Value of a 1983 24' Superboat

I'm considering purchasing a 1983 24' Superboat with an outboard. The powerhead is blown. The hull is structurally excellent, but has an ugly/faded brown gelcoat. I would probably awlgrip the entire boat and replace the engine. Any ideas what this would be worth?

I have a friend that traded in a sound 1981 with a running 200 for 5K. The dealer sold the boat about a year later for $7500 including the trailer.

My guess is 5 to $6000...

I have seen newer turn key 24s for under $20,000.
