Default quick question

I am not in the market for a new boat right now. but would consider a super boat to be in the running when the time comes. I just have a few questions.
1. With the 7ft beam is the boat really tippy while at the dock as compared to an 8ft beam.
2. What kind of speeds do you get with a 30ft with a 500hp?
Thank you for your help I think super boats are way cool looking and from what I can tell on this board really handle the rough stuff as well.
By the way it would be the 30y2k that the wife and I would be looking at.

I have not ever been in a 30', but I can say that yes my 24' Superboat is a little more tippy than a 8' wide boat.

I can also say that my 24' Superboat rides better than any 8' wide 24' boat out there, and better than most 8' wide boats under 28'.

As for the speed: I think the F1 rigged 30' would run about 80mph with a 500HP. A full cabin version likely 75mph...

Good Luck!

One of my friends is around 250 lbs. You can feel the boat move when he moves around when the boat is at rest. I would not consider it to be a problem. I think the only thing that makes me remember that I have a 7' beam is the distance between the front seats. It's a little tight for some larger people.

Superboats are light and fast. I don't think they compromise anything when it come to ride. I never rode in the '30 but the '24 is tough to beat in it's size range.

the 30 has lots pv cockpit space with a molded liner, you can not reach the frontseats when setting in the back seat.

There have to be some 30y2k owners on here.

wildchild,
Your only going to notice the tippiness when you take me for a ride.

Hey Cain (Brian),
Are you that big?
I have a friend that weighs in at around 280. I do use a little more port tab when we go out...
