Pat,

Best bet would be to email Ron P for quick answers!... [email protected]

per the schedule, looks like Aug 28-29....I believe they are still working on securing sponsers up that way.

Default congrats

Congrats!
Nothing better than the smell of new gel coat!!

I just repowered, testing this week, and should be ready before your new york trip. My boat is set up differently from yours, but I would be glad to take you for a ride.Sounds like a great boat, only thing i would have added was full external steering. Its a safety thing and a thirty is a big boat for a single and handling around the dock can be challenging. If your like most of us you will soon be looking for more speed and the standard rule is over 70 mph needs full hyd. steering. You are probably over 70 now. And remember this isnt texas , bring a jacket, long Island in early may is still chilly. What drive ? The XR is worth the upcost too .What does John say the boat will run with that set up?

TOO COOL!!

Thanks Jim for the offer!!! - I'll be visiting John on Sat May 8th, so I'll give you a call a day or two before, sound good? No prob on the weather - I'll be prepared. It would just be too awesome to get a ride in any SB, so thanks in advance!

The drive is standard Bravo, and John says it's 75 mph as set up - some of the posts I've read would suggest more like 72, but the GPS will tell. I'll have to feel out the mods like external strng and an XR - that'll give me incentive to blow the stock system up (kidding!!).

My parents are in the area and I'll drive to NY early Sat morning, spend time with JC and then maybe we can meet up?

Now I'm really getting psyched!!! Thanks!

sounds good Keith, I doubt that you will see 75 but 71, 72 is probably more likely, you will find that these hulls run faster in the rough, a little air under the hull works , My boat is at Kurts Marine in NJ, but should be back on long island before the 8th .We tested today, she ran strong but still needs tweaking. Ran 89 on the GPS with a 32bravo.Trying a 5 blade hydro tomorrow

Jcap,
I'm thinking we will see a little more air then that this Summer. 89mph sounds pretty darn good. Sounds like you will have her running 90+ soon...
Did you up the power this year?

OK, thanks Jim. I'm about to take this PC down to install Windows XP, so I don't know when I'll be back up. I'm looking forwad to the trip, my dad will be with and he hasn't been around the boating world much, but a true lover of fine and fast machinery! Talk to you soon!

Boating Mag did a test with your set up 73 with 3 adults and 90% fuel, so light fuel one person 75 is realistic. Get external steering if only one ram, for safety sake. much better to let John do it.
