Re: GPS'd the Boat Tonight
I don't use the pickup in my drive. I have a gaffrig pitot tube on my transom. When the tube is new, the speedo reads +5. It always gets bent somehow and then reads right on. Then it bends more and reads low. It is a PIA. I am not replacing the tubes anymore. They don't even last a season. I need to get a GPS speedo too.

Re: GPS'd the Boat Tonight
A beutiful ride on LI Sound last night!
Got to try my 26p 4 blade. Houston prop did a great job working it; only 1mph slower than the 3 blade...
2 guys, 3/4 tank, 10mph wind, 2ft chop...
67mph into the wind, 69mph with the wind.
Coming back up river, and trimmed to the f'n moon as Bash would say, we hit the 4800rpm rev limiter at 69.2mph...

Re: GPS'd the Boat Tonight
Nice Pat,
You got her runnin' consistent and with a load. We gotta run one day. I don't have a problem putting mine in one weekday afternoon(4-5-6pm) somewhere on LI northshore and burn some gas for a little run with you(& some pics naturally). Anyone know a ramp that is accessible for me to do this? I never boated on the N.S. but like I said I wouldn't mind burning some gas one day during the week. 24vs24 Steppvs.Nonstepp I/O vs. O/B? Who will prevail? The Basher (Gene)

Re: GPS'd the Boat Tonight
tripps & superbash,
I do hope to meet up with you at some point this summer!
I think from were tripps is suggesting we would still be 60-70mile apart though.
I'll make a deal with you Babylon boys. You show up at the Fountain run to Claudio's and I will trailer my boat to the Island for a run with you fellows.
Is that fare?
