hey fast eddie
I was wondering if you run bravo or hydromotive props? I know you run smaller props with stock motors but I am trying hydromotives new round ears, can you tell me what type and size props you have tried and what speeds and rpm ?
I am currently running a labbed bravo 31 and i am just breaking 90on gps but still not happy with bow lift, i ruined a prop( yeah i hit a tab ! just installed passenger side controls for my wife to throttle) and thought this would be a good time to try something new
thanks,
Jim

jcap, have you tried an ext box, I have heard the ITS is good for bow lift. I'm thinking about a Y2K with an open bow(large) and small mid-cabin(seat, storage and head) but I'm worried that the extra weight up front might make it plow. Any tips on bow lift(prop, X dim, ITS, etc...) will be helpful.
Thanks, Hugh

i would be careful, all y2k owners i have talked to say no bow lift, no plowing complaints but poor bow lift! I agree a box may help, the zuperboat has a box,but i think its got a new drive now , still a box on there zup? his hull is lighter than y2ks though.I know eddie isnt on here alot but I would lov to hear your prop history on your race boat?

Jim,
Mostly I have run brovo props, 28's, at the end of the season I was running a 27 Hydomotive (cleaver) Lefty, I seemed to have a lot of slip getting on plan, and run highter rpm in the turns and alowed me to get back to top speed quicker. I thank Tom at Hydromotive has an exchange program you may contact him, I would think a round ear prop with a lot of cup should get the bow up.
