Don't you have one of those U-19's? There is a guy in the NJPPC that has a 18' Donzi with surface drive. I think he is running close to 100.

yes dave i have seen that donzi , its pretty awsome, the guy drives it hard too!. i would lov to try something like that with this u19 , its a great hull very strong and light, its said to be the last mold arnow built before his death, was only made for 2 years 96 and 97 by fourwinns 24deg deep v put improved strakes over 18 ft donzi , i gave up trying to make the ford 5.8 stronger its too hard and expensive to find marine hp stuff for the ford.

Hey Jcap,
Are we going to see you and crazy George running side by side at 90+ in 3 footers next year?
I had a 1975 18' Donzi with a small block and Volvo 280. I loved that boat! I took it everywhere, Block, Greenport, South Hampton...
After a while, no one would ride with me though.

Jcap,
I think that Volvo drive you have can handle quite a bit more power.
I know that big blocks got hooked to them.
You could use the drive you have and bolt up a sb chevy blower motor to it.
I have a friend than has the newer style bell housing, flywheel, and coupler from his recent re-power. He just put a late model 350 Volvo in his 18' Donzi.
We'll talk Saturday...
