Re: 16' Center Console
Not bad....& what did we say we were bolting to the transom???
Put those new SB decals on the deck...They're underwater on the sides of a 16.
- Just went out...windiest day I have ever been on the water. Robert Moses Bridge had 3-4' rollers no b.s.

By the looks of that waterline, that 16 had a tiny 40 hp on it. Your going to take care of that problem.............aren't you ?? Mine with the 150 on it sat alot lower in the water. Bash is right, the decals will be under the water. Better to move them to the deck.

I dont know what was on it...does anyone have any pics of this boat sitting in the water? Where do you guys think this will float?
Decals came off today..along with a bunch of other crap...check out the underside of the stbd decal...notice anything different?
I dunno what I'm gonna put on it yet...truthfully, I was thinking 90 to 135 Merc...

Re: 16' Center Console
I sold mine 7 years ago. It turns out a buddy of mine wanted me to look at a 16 he was interested in a few months ago. It turned out to be my old boat. It was beat to s#@t !! Still, it had a 135 on it and the custom transom bracket. It's 100 feet down the canal from my boat. So I'll swing by on the way home tomorrow and take a pic, so you can determine the waterline.

Rick,
yup...need a rubrail...just not sure what i'm gonna use yet...I like the 1" white plastic(i think TACO makes it)...can you guys get me a price?
How fast with a 135?
can you see if john would be interested in re-gelling the boat and how much it would be?
basically what i'm going to do is prep the boat...sand and fill all holes and then have someone shoot it...and i will take it from there(wet sand, compound...)
did you notice the difference in the name from stbd to port side?

Re: 16' Center Console
I found a pic of my old 16 with Vinny, it's new owner. The waterline (slimeline) is around 5" down from the bumprail in the stern. Unfortunately, the pic is on the other puter, and Kimberly refuses to stop chatting with her girlfriends !!!! AHHHHH !!! Ah hmm, OK where was I ? Reshoot gelcoat on the boat ? I would wind up doing it. But I would also advise against it. Go with an Imron or Awlgrip job. You cant compare the gloss of gelcoat to Imron. And its tough paint.
We might have the bumprail in stock. Call Coen to check. 631-226-1761

Heres the pic. Notice the slime line going through the superboat decal. And to answer your question on speed with the 135. Vinny doesnt have a speedo, but he has me by a mile or two an hour. So he doing in the upper 50's. He also has a 6" adjustable setback.
