1/4 canopy Y2K

Hey FX10,
Is there a Y2k out there with a real 1/4 canopy? My wife is petite and has trouble seeing over the fairing , I raise her seat when we race and she is throttling but Id prefer she see through it rather than over it! Any info?

Hey Eddie,
Didnt I see you race with the fairing removed once ? Was that better ? Did you lower the seats? Why did you go back?

Heres a pic of ot Jim. And I think Eddie ran with his off, and lowered his seats to lower the center of gravity. Or something like that.

And I know the actual F16 canopy's are a forture. I heard theres someone in California who makes them, but, from what I heard, the quality of vision can be distorted.

Yeah...you don't wanna be looking thru that. Its like the windshield on a bike...its better to look just over the top & let it deflect the wind over you. Otherwise it screws up your vision. Sounds good anyway .

Re: 1/4 canopy Y2K

I'll tune in here a bit since I live near Eliminator and all the boats with the imitation canopies. Last week I was at Eliminator, Warlock, Carrera, and Commander and the quality or clarity is getting better with time, but I still did'nt like sitting behind them very much. Eliminator is cutting them down for some customers so the can sit up above them or crouch below for the wind protection. Still looks good. Maybe that's the future for canopy boats. It's funny how a performance boat could not have a windshield a few years ago, and look many people want it now in another form!! Pesonally I like the visors I had on my A/O. Flip-um up when flying and down when idling.
