That is a sweet Ocean pacer and it sounds like a great price!
Someone is going to end up witha nice ride out of that one!
Whats left to finish on the boat at this point?
I saw in the pics that the ignition etc wasn't wired but wasn't sure if it had progressed since the pics were taken.
Too bad you can't hold on to her. It'd be nice to at least run it for a little while after all the work you put in.

yes its to bad someone else will get to enjoy the fruit of my labor, but it needs to go. As you noticed the ignitions need wired, and coolant lines and trans coolers put in. The fuel lines hooked up and it needs throttle/trim cables. There may be a few other small things im not thinking of right off the top of my head, but nothing major is left.

Hey guys, for what its worth, i rigged all the boats from '85 to 90 and was proud of the boats that we built then. It's good to see one still holding it's head up high. I know how they were built because Richie made me start in the Glass and layup dept. for a month so I could see their construction. We were a custom boatbuilder and did Kama,Arneson,TRS,triple OB's, staggered etc.
The Ocean Pacer was the HotRod of the group and with raised "X" dimension you had to be nibble at higher speeds. We did two basic dash designs then. The "Pod" and the "Race" dash. Which one do you have?

Ok, so I still toss around the idea of keeping this boat. Not sure if I want to run surface drive though. Whats the likely hood of the surface drives failing? What i mean is long term reliability. Would it be better to have bravo's than kaama's with the transmissions?
