We never had 28's when we had it. We had a set of worked 30 Bravo's and a set of worked 30 or 32 Hydromotive Quad 4's. I believe we spun them up to 5400-5600 rpm. The Hydromotive props were faster by a few MPH. What direction are you turning the props? It is faster turning them in.

So I'm clear, what are Factory 2 specs? Drives on the transom?

Default 30 Sutphen held kilo record for 2 years

The 30 foot SUTPHEN held the kilo record the first few years, until Reggie had his own engine builder with a seal kit.

With two 725 HP blower motors, boxes, with a 1:50 drive, you should be in the 32 to 34 prop range.
