gen 6 502 short blocks
Any idea to what they are worth? I have two gen 6 502 short blocks..all machine work done to blocks, still in bags..bores taken to 4.500,factory cranks(standard) and rods, cranks polished, two new sets of SRP pistons(flat tops) in the box, flywheels and balancers, rotating assemblies balanced.Ready to assemble.Have oil pans and timing covers.Only cams I have are the factory rollers which would be included along with the lifters if someone wanted them.I am looking at buying two plug and play motors and selling these.I also have 2 polished B&M superchargers set up for single carbs. Thanks for the input.

I believe the pistons should be around 9:1 with 119cc heads.. the part number is 139482 on them .The blowers are 250's, hours unknown. But they are in good condition, the teflons look great and they spin freely. One of them I ran about 1 season with no problems on a previous boat and the other is supposed to be a low hour rebuild I bought from another OSO member. I am trying to get an idea as to what this stuff might be worth before I commit to buying some complete engines.Sorry, this may be the wrong forum. Thanks

Dang, I wish I had seen these before I went out and bought stuff for a 496. Not sure of the value, but you might look around at ads for other rebuilt 502's and then back off the cost of having them assembled and the cost of a set of heads. WAG would be $1500 - $2000.
