Hi. It is a Autronic SMC ecu. The sm4 has more functions and logging time. The sm4 is more for cars that you want to measure and control more functions. It has also proved to not be reliable as the SMC. Hope this answered you question. The designer of Autronic is a friend of mine so if you want any info let me know.

Thanks for the info. I run the SM4 on my street car and have never heard the SMC is more reliable. If you are friends with Richard get on him to come out with the SM5 lol. They have to release something that is current. The release of the SM3 didn't help.
I am looking to repower now and your engine looks interesting.

Ray hall was the original designer and he has since designed a new system which is Vipec. A few mates have run the sm4 and it seems to have issues with CDI communication. Not a regular thing but I've never had any issue with the SMC and most of them have headed back to SMC. Price also dictates this move as well. The engine is a very strong reliable package. Only reason I'm selling is I need more more HP and I don't want to stuff around with a very good package. I will design/build something to be bigger hp rather than just pushing the boost through the roof. Anyone that buys this will be very happy as it's been a great combination for me.
